1. What style do you use? If you have looked at my work, you probably noticed a distinct lack of fake smiles and stiff poses - that's my style! More specifically, I am mainly photojournalistic, in that I like to stay out of the way and get pictures of things that are actually happening. When the time comes to do posed pictures I do them in a relaxed, easy style that translates into more party time for you and your family, and less strained smiles from standing in one spot for two hours. 2. What are your rates? I use a la carte pricing so you can customize your wedding photography to suit exactly your needs and budget, however basic coverage starts at $2000. Please give me a call for more information! 3. Do you shoot with film or digital cameras? I shoot using high-quality digital cameras, because these allow me to be more flexible and creative with your wedding photography, while preserving the quality and durability of film. But please - don't pick your photographer based on whether they shoot film or digital! Pick someone whose work makes you feel good, let us worry about what medium to shoot in. 4. What kind of quality can I expect from digital photography? How long will digital prints and images last? I use very high quality equipment, and your prints are developed in a process almost identical to film prints on archival quality photographic paper by specialty labs. This ensures that they look beautiful and last fifty or more years - just like traditional film prints. Also, the advantages of having a CD of digital images over a set of film negatives becomes obvious down the road. Negatives degrade over time and may easily be lost or scratched, but the digital images on a CD may be duplicated and preserved without ever losing quality. 5. What's the largest print I can have made from a digital photo? The equipment I use produces high-resolution images that can look beautiful enlarged to an enormous 30"x45". I can also special order even larger prints in certain circumstances. 6. Will Jessica Verma be the one who actually shoots my pictures? Do you have a second photographer available? I am always the primary photographer at every wedding I book. I will never contract your wedding out to another photographer. I do have a second photographer who shoots in a very compatible style with my own and is available for larger weddings or more detailed coverage. 7. Do you ever do more than one wedding per day? No. If you hire me for your wedding day, I devote that day exclusively to your wedding. I believe that focusing on one wedding or event at a time is very important so I can immerse myself in the process of telling your story with pictures. 8. What kind of lighting and other equipment (such as tripods) do you use? I really try to blend in as much as possible with the crowd of your wedding. For this reason I generally use a lightweight camera and reserve flash and bulky equipment only for conditions when it is absolutely necessary, so you and your guests can remain comfortable and focused on the wedding. Occasionally, I will use a tripod and a small flash for indoor or nighttime photos. 9. Are you available for weddings outside Los Angeles? Absolutely!
